Physiotherapy clinic supplies

Rotary club of Orchid City, Shillong in collaboration with Elite Physiotherapy Clinic, Laitumkhrah Bazaar Conducted a Free Physiotherapy Pain walk in Health Camp this Saturday. Dr I Synnah and her team conducted thorough examination of Each patient. Preliminary treatments of 30mins relevant to ultrasonication and exercises relevant to ailment were also prescribed and demonstrated. token was also given for treatment sessions for patients. ultrasonication supplies, bp machines, gels etc was provided and supplied.

Rotary Club of Orchid City Inaugurated of new class rooms for Shining Star Secondary School, Nongkya village, Umsning on 29th November 2025, Saturday, at 10 a.m. This is an initiative of URSC, courtesy major contribution from Rtn Donovan Kharwanlang. Besides other programmes prepared by the School, from our end we will participate in the following programme: 1. A bit about Rotary Club: From RCOC, Shillong. 2. Address by Chairman of URSC, Rtn Shemphang Lyngdoh. 3. Address by major donor: Rtn Donovan Kharwanlang 4. Ribbon cutting: Rtn Barnabas Nangbah and Rtn Donovan Kharwanlang. We welcome as many of us as possible to come and encourage the students and the community of Nongkya village.

finance aid to a Mr Kharmuti of Siakhnai Village

Mr. Kitbor Kharmuti of Siangkhnai village a tailor by profession has been in this work for the last 20 years.. He was trained locally in Smit by other tailors. On seeing his hard work and the effort he puts in, the Club during this month of Economic and Community Development decided to lend a hand by supporting him financially. On 17th October 25, Rtn Dr Judita, Rtn Barnabas, Rtn Antony visited the workplace of Mr Kitbor and haded monetary assistance of Rs 20,000 to him. Others present were Dr Netarius Laloo and Dr Chiborki Pala the prospective rotarians.

A workshop on The Art of effective Communication

A workshop on “The Art of Effective Communication: Building Confidence and Success” was organized at Rev. T. Jerman Jones Presbyterian School, Mawphlang, on 9th September 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Abir Suchiang from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The workshop witnessed the participation of around 80 students from Classes VIII, IX, and X. The primary objective of the session was to enhance the students’ communication skills and to help them develop greater confidence in expressing themselves effectively.

Synkhon, MP, Lok Sabha, Shillong, Meghalaya President then requested members to please suggest names for the NBA awardees. The president also suggested 3 names for the NBA awardee. They were 1. Mrs Soma Bhattarcharjee 2. Mr Shemphanglin Khardewsaw President then gave a brief introduction of all the awardees she had nominated for the NBA award and also requested members to please share their valuable opinion for the above-mentioned awardees. All the members present then discussed the names and agreed with the president that the nominations suggested of the awardees were extremely good and well chosen. President further requested members also to suggest names of any awardee other then the above mentioned

RCOCS RYLA 2025 New Generation Service

RCOCS RYLA 2025

RYLA 2025 was conducted for two days at Pastrol Centre , Shillong, as on 29-30th August 2025. Students from age 12-18 participated from rural and urban area. More than 105 students participated in the two day event. Day 1 Soft Skill leadership training was given by Avenues, a renounced Centre for soft skill training. Day 2 was hosted by speakers from a gala of Rotarian on Leadership. Sponsorship from Rotarians, Registration fees and institutions allowed to cater to more students from rural School.

The bike rally witnessed a participation of 107 Royal Enfield bikers with 6 different Royal Enfield Biking clubs on Independence Day. A good public image coverage was also given by T7news as well as Royal Enfield Singla. The Chief Guest Shri James Sangma with the President, Secretary and all members from RCOCS flagged off the event. The Chief Guest in his speech congratulated members of RCOCS and Royal Enfield Singla for organising this event to create a tribute to all our freedom fighters and also as an awareness on drug free ride alongside road safety.
